Student Cornar


The Student Body consists of the School Student Council. A group of students from higher classes are
carefully selected after scrutiny of their academic records, attitude and aptitude through an interview
with the Head of the Institution and senior teachers. A school Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Head are
identified and appointed along with the Prefectural Body that consists of Monitors of various classes and Prefects. All staff members have the responsibility to guide and monitor the performance of the Student Council. the student council has the following tasks to perform:

• To set examples of disciplined individuals, respectful towards all teachers and follow school
rules to the letter.
• To co-ordinate and offer help in all school functions.
• To give meaningful feedback/information to the Head of the Institution towards changes, if
required, in various school routines.
• To perform all above tasks cheerfully, willingly and maintain their own high academic

Active participation is the only way students can be made to feel involved in the welfare of their school
and forming a Student Council is a way to achieve this target.


The school is divided into four Houses named after four great Indian women to inspire our children to
imbibe the values of these women in their life. These are :-

Each House is under the charge of a House Warden and has its Prefects and House Captains (Boys &
Girls) who are responsible for the tone of discipline in that House. Competitions in games and curricular
activities are held on ‘House’ basis. ‘House’ loyalties are very strong in students. The Overall Trophy is
awarded to the best all rounder House each year after taking into account the achievements of every
student in conduct, games and attendance.

The primary objectives of the House system are as follows:-
• To inculcate the feeling of a ‘family’ and dissolve the barriers of junior-senior classes.
• To give adequate opportunity to children to discover themselves in terms of leadership qualities,
latent talents, aims ambitions.
• To promote healthy competitive attitudes in all aspects academic and non-academic areas.
• To evolve the relationship between the teacher and pupil out of classroom environment so that
the House Wardens and teachers become friends and guides who are ‘ALWAYS THERE” for children to
turn to.

Responsibilities of Students

Little Things To Remember

• To greet your teachers in a pleasant and audible tone whenever you meet them in school or

• Please take the correct schedule of timings of nearby from the transport –in charge of the
school if bus facility is availed.

• If any alternative arrangement of your ward’s commuting has been made, please inform it to
the transport-in-charge.

• In case of small children, the child will be taken back to the school if there is no one picks
him/her up at the stop.

• School bus service will be available only in some selected routes and cannot take diversion at
the request of the parents.

• Bus fees once paid is not refundable, adjustable or transferable.

• Parents are advised not to tip the bus driver / ayah for the purpose of getting any personal work
done at the school and communication with the teachers or school is not permitted through ayahdidi
and drivers.

• No Motorbikes for students are permitted in School campus.


1. All students using the school bus are expected to be at the stop least five minutes before the
arrival time of the bus.

2. The buses will not wait for latecomers.

3. The children should stay away from the main road until the bus arrives.

4. No students should come near the entry door of the bus unless the bus has made a complete stop.

5. When the bus is in motion, students must not move around the bus and no part of their body should
be outside the bus.

6. Objects of any kind e.g. Wrappers etc. must not be discarded inside or thrown out of the bus.

7. Students will be held responsible for any damage caused by negligence or vandalism.

8. Students are not allowed to eat in the bus.

9. Unruly behavior like shrieking, shouting and use of foul language is strictly prohibited; Courteous
behavior is expected at all times.

10. The driver’s attention must not be distracted for any reason.

11. Senior students should offer Seats to the juniors in the bus.


• Punctual and regular attendance at school is extremely important. Permission for leave must be
applied for and obtained, in writing at least 24 hours prior to commencement of the intended period of

• In case of emergencies, the students must submit application on returning to the school; bring a
note from the parent stating the reason for absence.

• In case of sick leave for more than three days the leave application should be sent along with a
medical certificate.

• Every student must attend a minimum of 75% of the working days of the year for promotion to
the next class.

• A student whose parents expect him / her to be in School but who does not attend is truant,
Truant is a serious offence, and requires strong disciplinary action. Missing a class period without
permission is also truancy.

• Parents should fill up the Record for Non Attendance / Leave Record in the diary for each day
the student is absent from School, stating the reason for absence.

• Attendance is compulsory or Independence Day and Republic Day and at all celebration.

• Catching up the work which has been missed due to the absence in the class is the responsibility
of the students.

• No leave will be granted on Test or Examination days.


1. All students from class I onwards can make use of the library.

2. Books will be issued only to the students from class III onwards.

3. No student is authorized to pass a book taken from the library to anyone else.

4. Books must be returned in the same condition.

5. Any books lost, must at once be paid for or replaced.

6. Library will remain open throughout the school hours.

7. Strict silence must be observed in the Library.

8. All books have to be returned within 7 days.

9. If the books are not returned on the assigned date, a fine of Rs.2/- per day, per book will be charged
(including holidays)

10. Books must be duly returned before commencement of the (terminal) examination.

11. A student guilty of disobedience of the librarian or of disorderly conduct is liable to be debarred
from the library.


1. Application for admission will be accepted on a prescribed from which can be obtained from the
school office along with the school prospectus.

2. At the time of admission, original birth certificate from the authorized Govt. authorities must be
submitted and original T.C. of the last school attended.

3. Admission is strictly based on merit.

4. Application for withdrawal / Transfer certificate in the prescribed form. Should be filled by the father
/ mother and submitted in the office.

5. 30 working days notice is required to withdraw a student.

6. T.C. will be issued only after all financial obligation have been fulfilled.

7. T.C. Application must be submitted within 15 days of result declaration else first part of fee will be applicable.
